My Story
I work with adults and older adolescents (ages 16+), integrating evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy within a Biblical worldview that validates each individual’s inherent worth and capacity for growth. My work is informed by an integrative mental health framework that considers the role of nutritional factors in shaping mood, stress response, and relational health. I also emphasize the exploration of cognitive-behavioral patterns and attachment styles, helping clients develop greater insight, emotional regulation, and healthier interpersonal dynamics. I provide counseling services for individuals, couples, and families navigating concerns such as addiction, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, dysregulated stress response, low self-esteem, relational conflict, and codependency.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX License 85602), I hold a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies—specializing in Psychology, Speech Communication, and Criminal Justice—from the University of Texas at Tyler. My commitment to service and education led me to earn a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution. My hands-on clinical training with the TCOOMMI division (Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments, Andrews Center Behavioral Healthcare System) provided me with a deeper understanding of the biological and sociological factors that influence mental health.

In addition to my counseling work, I serve as a Professor of Psychology at Tyler Junior College, where I share my expertise and passion for mental health with the next generation of students.
Outside of my professional responsibilities, I enjoy singing, cooking, exploring historical places, and watching movies. I deeply value quality time with family and friends, engage in prayer walking, and continue to be inspired by 17 years of marriage and the joy of raising three children.
