About Rhēma-Therapy
Words hold immense power, capable of fostering hope, authenticity, truth, love, and transformative change. That's why Rhēma-Therapy was thoughtfully designed with the whole person in mind, blending a biblical perspective with a holistic approach to counseling. The term "Rhēma" (pronounced hray'-mah) comes from Greek and signifies an utterance—individual, collective, or specific—concerning a particular matter. According to Thayer's Greek Definitions, it represents something spoken by a living entity, whether in the past or present. The first reference to Rhēma in the New Testament appears during Jesus' forty days in the wilderness, where he proclaimed: “It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word (Rhēma) that proceeds out of the mouth of God.'” (Matthew 4:4, HBFV).
Framed by integrative mental health and wellness, Rhēma-Therapy considers the psychological, relational, and physiological factors that influence wellness. This framework includes:
-
Whole-person care that includes mental health, lifestyle, and nutrition guidance
-
Individualized, Evidence-Based Care customized to each client’s unique needs and wellness goals
-
Continued Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, within a Biblical framework, to create meaningful change
