Rhēma-Therapy is a supportive space where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while finding the tools to address life's challenges. This nonjudgmental environment fosters hope and promotes wellness, recognizing that each person is inherently valuable and capable of growth. Just like the dove in Genesis 8:11, which holds an olive leaf in its mouth, counseling aims to inspire hope.

My Story
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX License 85602), I primarily use a Cognitive-Behavioral-Somatic approach guided by a Biblical worldview. My areas of special focus include addiction, anxiety, depression, codependency, relational conflict, religious trauma, Biblical restoration, and holistic wellness.

I hold a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies—specializing in Psychology, Speech Communication, and Criminal Justice—from the University of Texas at Tyler. My commitment to service and education led me to earn a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution. My hands-on clinical training with the TCOOMMI division (Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments, Andrews Center Behavioral Healthcare System) provided me with a deeper understanding of the biological and sociological factors that influence mental health.
In addition to my counseling work, I serve as a Professor of Psychology at Tyler Junior College, where I share my expertise and passion for mental health with the next generation of students.
Outside of my professional responsibilities, I enjoy singing, cooking, and watching movies. I deeply value quality time with family and friends, engage in prayer walking, and continue to be inspired by 16 years of marriage and the joy of raising three children.
